Position Summary:
 
The TECTA Coordinator is a grant funded position from the Tennessee Department of Human Services. The Coordinator provides support and mentoring for early childhood education professionals in Shelby and Fayette Counties. The Coordinator works with child care providers interested in pursuing an Administrator Credential. He/she also conducts continuing education workshops as well as onsite assistance and training in five areas: (1) Infant/Toddler, (2) Preschool, (3) Administrator, (4) School Age, and ( 5) Family Child Care.

The Coordinator also provides in depth guidance related to accreditation advancement, the Child Development Associate Credential and college course work.  
  
Qualifications:
  
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Minimum of one (1) year work experience is required.

PRIMARY PREP ACCOUNTANT

Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; Minimum of 3 to 5 years related work experience with a 501(3)(c) Non-Profit organization; Knowledge of QuickBooks for Non-Profits and/or Peachtree Accounting Systems, familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. 

 

Performs accounting work which consists of recording and reporting financial transactions, maintaining budgetary and internal controls for the agency, and managing cash flow; Provides accurate and timely reports and other financial information to ensure that all staff, vendors and other customers receive timely, high quality fiscal services including, but not limited to payroll, purchasing, inventory, etc.   

This is a 52-week position; 37.50 hours per week.

 

BUS DRIVER

Requirements:  High School diploma or GED equivalent, completion of bus driver training, and two (2) years relevant experience; or an equivalent of education and relevant experience; Special chauffeur's license (commercial license with passenger endorsement and school bus endorsement); Minimum age 25.

 

In compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, the Bus Driver is responsible for transporting enrollees in a safe and timely manner.  This is a 42-week position; 37.50 hours per week.
